Terms & billing
Plain-English rules for paying for CloudProof by BuriCloud — how plans, proration, account limits and cancellation work. Questions: support@buri.cloud.
Who you're buying from
Paddle is our merchant of record. When you subscribe, your purchase and payment are handled by Paddle, who act as the seller of record and take care of sales tax / VAT worldwide. Your card statement shows Paddle, and Paddle's buyer terms apply to the transaction alongside this page. We never see or store your full card details.
Plans & billing
- Subscriptions renew automatically each period (monthly or annual, whichever you chose) until you cancel.
- Prices are shown on the billing page and the public pricing section. Each paid plan includes a set number of connected AWS accounts and a scan frequency — see the plan comparison for the details.
- The Free plan includes a one-time 7-day full-feature scan trial; after it ends, past reports stay viewable but new scans require a paid plan.
Changing plans
You can switch plans yourself, any time, from the billing page — the change takes effect immediately:
- Upgrades are prorated: you pay only the difference for the rest of the current period, charged when you confirm. We show you the exact amount before you commit. Your plan then renews at the new price.
- Downgrades to a lower paid plan also take effect immediately. The unused portion of what you'd already paid becomes account credit that's automatically applied to your future invoices — it is not refunded to your card.
- Downgrading to Free (cancellation) takes effect at the end of your current billing period: you keep paid features until then, and you're not charged again.
- Switching keeps your existing monthly-or-annual billing cadence.
Account limits & pausing
Each plan covers a set number of connected AWS accounts. If you downgrade to a plan that allows fewer accounts than you currently have connected, the extra accounts are paused rather than deleted:
- Paused accounts stop being scanned — both scheduled scans and manual "Run scan" are turned off for them.
- We keep the oldest-connected accounts active up to your plan's limit; the rest are paused. Your data and past reports are untouched.
- To resume a paused account, upgrade your plan or disconnect another account so you're back within the limit.
Refunds
Because plan changes are prorated and unused time is returned as account credit, switching plans never needs a card refund. If you believe you were charged in error, email support@buri.cloud — refunds are issued at our discretion and processed by Paddle as merchant of record.
Your data when you cancel
When you return to Free, your reports are retained for a grace period and then purged in line with our data-minimization policy; signed reports you've already downloaded or shared remain valid. See Security & trust for how we store and protect your data, and email privacy@buri.cloud to access or delete it.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page as the product evolves. Material billing changes will be reflected here and, where they affect you, communicated by email. Continuing to use a paid plan after a change means you accept the updated terms.
